How to untangle a chain? To untangle a chain, place the tangled chain on a flat surface. Gently pull the chain out as much as possible to get an idea of how tangled it is. Take a pin or a needle and insert it into the tangled knot, gently wiggle it around and try to loosen any tight spots. You can also use a toothpick or tweezers to gently work the knot out. Be patient and don't pull too hard on the chain or it may break. Continue to work on the knot until it is fully untangled.Once you have untangled the chain, you can store it in a jewellery box to prevent tangling in the future. How to clean chains? To clean chains, beging by soaking the chain in a bowl of warm water mixed with a mild soap or cleaner. Let it soak for a few minutes to loosen any dirt or grime. Use a soft-bristled brush, such as a toothbrush, to gently scrub the chain. Pay attention to any crevices or details in the chain. Rinse the chain under warm running water to remove any soap residue. Ensure the chain is completely dry with a soft cloth. How to store chains? To store chains, we recommend to store separately to prevent them from tangling or scratching each other. Use a soft cloth or jewellery pouch to wrap each chain. Avoid storing your chains in a damp or humid area, as moisture can damage the metal or gemstones. How to measure chain length? To measure the length of a chain chain, you will need a flexible tape measure or a piece of string and a ruler. Decide where you want the chain to sit on your body and measure with a flexible tape measure or a piece of string. Wrap the tape measure or string around your neck, making sure it is not too tight or too loose. If using a string, once weapped around the neck to the desired length, make a mark on the string and place along a ruler or tape measure to determine the required length. How to extend chain length? To extend a chain that is too short use our chain extended, which is a short piece of jewellery chain with a clasp and a ring on the ends that can be attached to your chain. Simply attach the clasp to your chain and use the ring to fasten the chain around your neck. This will allow you to adjust the length of the chain to your desired fit. What are the different types of chains? There are various types of chains used in jewelry, each with its own distinct style and characteristics. Here are some common types of chains: Cable Chain: This is one of the most basic and popular types of chains. It features oval or round links interconnected to form a simple and sturdy chain. Figaro Chain: A Figaro chain consists of flattened links in different sizes and shapes. It typically has a pattern of three smaller links followed by one longer link, creating an alternating pattern. Curb Chain: Curb chains have interlocking links with a twisted, flattened, or beveled design. They are durable and often used for heavier pendants or bracelets. Rope Chain: Rope chains are made of intertwined strands that resemble a rope. They can be delicate or thick, depending on the number of strands used. Snake Chain: Snake chains have a sleek and smooth appearance, with closely linked round or square scales that create a flexible and elegant chain. Paperclip Chain: A paperclip chain is a type of chain design that takes inspiration from the shape and structure of a paperclip. It features elongated, flattened links that resemble the traditional shape of a paperclip. The links are usually interconnected to create a continuous chain.
