Worn For Esha - Talking Empowerment and Inspiration
Model, creator, MUA and stylist, we’d like to introduce you to the multi-tasking, goal kicking woman that is Esha Avantha Naidoo. The recent face of our Woman’s World- Winter ’22 campaign, Esha sat down with the Medley team to talk all things inspiration, self confidence and staying true to herself in an increasingly competitive modelling industry.
What does "A Woman's World" mean to you?
When I hear “A Woman’s World” that to me means something so empowering and uplifting to all types of women, especially if they're from different backgrounds, religions, ethnicities I think that would mean coming together and being united as equals!

Is there a woman in your life that inspires you?
Hands down has to be my mom she’s by far the most giving, caring and loving soul I’ve ever been blessed to be around. Her kind heart and the love she has for everyone and the fact that she also put’s everyone else before her is so admirable. I learn so much from her every day and for that I’m so thankful!
How did you get into the modelling industry and what advice would you give to models at the beginning of their career?
I got into modelling as I was studying Fashion Design, my other classmates would sometimes need a ‘model’ to pin garments or try on their designs. From there I started to do photoshoots for my design college eventually leading me to submitting some of those photos to agencies!
In the beginning you really need to make sure that you’re in this for yourself. It’s sometimes easy to get caught up in this fast-paced crazy industry, but remember who you are and stay true to yourself. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you’re uncomfortable! Oh, and always take a water bottle and snacks with you on a job - you sometimes don’t know if you’ll be able to have a break or given anything to eat!
How do you maintain your confidence and practice self-love in an industry that is heavily motivated by appearance?
I personally enjoy doing little mindful meditations even if it’s a couple minutes each morning. Just to get my head in the right mindset for the day, saying positive affirmations and practicing gratitude for everything that comes forth from work has also shown me to be grateful for my opportunities and for the ones that might come! Also when it comes to social media don’t read into the hate and negativity. People will always have something to say, you know who you are as a person so own that!
What was your favourite look from the campaign shoot and why?
I LOVED my sporty look that featured the latest Medley textured pieces! The Camilla & Marc Trench coat was everything! Paired with comfy sneakers, a cute black unitard and finished with the some edgy textured hoops and matching textured bangle, it would be my go-to look if I want to feel put together but still look really chic!
